Open Question: Two (2) car seats & luggage, SEPTA and NJ Transit on a Sunday?

I've found a cheap ticket for Philadelphia, but I need to get to Newark on the cheap also. I'm traveling with my wife, a baby and a toddler to see my ailing mother. I've found a cheap way to get to Newark by using SEPTA rail and NJ transit rail for all of us. We'll be carrying luggage and 2 car seats. Is luggage room on these trains to allow this?
